About CO2 PACMAN

CO2 PACMAN (COoperation and CO-designing PArtnership for CliMAte Neutrality) is an Interreg Euro-MED project focused on transforming Mediterranean islands into climate-neutral territories.
The project engages public authorities, citizens, and stakeholders in co-creating strategies for climate change mitigation and adaptation. It builds upon previous initiatives like BLUE DEAL and COMPOSE PLUS to provide knowledge and tools for implementing integrated climate policies.

Open Innovation Actions

CO2 PACMAN’s Open Innovation Collaborative Action is a dynamic platform where companies, startups, SMEs, and research centers collaborate to solve 9 realworld challenges related to sustainability, decarbonization, and smart resource management on Mediterranean islands such as Brač, Crete, and Elba.

About BLUE DEAL

BLUE DEAL is a European project made up of 12 partners from 6 Mediterranean countries and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the Instrument for the Pre-accession Assistance Fund, with a budget of 2.8 million euros. BLUE DEAL project seeks to facilitate the creation of links and synergies between companies, researchers, entities and public authorities in order to promote research, innovation and investment in marine renewable energy in the Mediterranean.

Within the project, an Open Innovation action has been developed in which together with 11 companies and entities, the European project has launched 12 challenges. The challengers shared their concerns and problems and the solvers proposed possible solutions using different technologies, devices and innovative actions related to blue energies. On this platform you will find all the detailed information about the challenges presented as well as the solutions and additional information. Join us as we sail the Mediterranean and discover the 80 solutions submitted.
